What is it? Basically it's about getting your website listed as high as possible on a search engine. If your site is listed as the 11,987th website on a search engine, then chances are nobody will find you! If your site is listed on the first page or two then there's a bigger chance that more people will find your site and visit.

Do you need it? You may need SEO, you may not, we won't search engine optimise your website if it doesn't need it. You may not need it if it's a personal site or a local club for example, but if you've got a shop online you most certainly will. We won't charge you for it if you don't need it!

Website Performance

Performance of your website is a balancing act of several things, generally it's how big each web page is(including graphics) and how busy the web server is.

We know the way to optimise how a page is built up from an HTML viewpoint, and we also know the correct way to optimise the graphics on your site. Did you know that you can make an image look almost identical, but decrease the file size by a factor of 100!! We've all heard about compression, but which compression is the best for which circumstances!?

That's our job. Smaller file sizes mean less bandwidth consumed and a faster website experience for your visitors, and also potentially higher search engine ranking.

Email

You'll want to have email addresses setup with your website. We can setup your email addresses to go with your domain name, i.e. info@yoursitename.com. We can give you instructions on setting up your email software such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail.

Your website might be just a few simple static pages or it could be a fully interactive site with lots of different functionality that you want to give to your users. We can cater for any type of site, simple static pages, online shops(including taking payments), forums, photo galleries, interactive chat, etc. etc…

We follow a full project management workflow from initial enquiry through to a go-live state. Using the following project management workflow helps you get a project that you want and allows us to help identify any changes/issues that need to be addressed early on, saving valuable time and money.

You also have control of your project at various stages using defined milestones, payment stages and sign-offs.

If this all seems a little daunting, don't worry. It's our job to worry and we make everything as seamless and easy for you as possible. We're flexible so for smaller projects some of the phase could be merged together or more phases or milestones added for larger projects.

Change Management

Any changes or modifications that you would like made to your website/software will form a separate project. If the changes are small and have low impact then a full workflow can be bypassed so you can get the changes as soon as possible.

If changes have a medium to critical impact then a more structured workflow will need to be in place to safeguard the usability of the live website/software. This could mean building a separate test system to which an agreed workflow will apply.

Maintenance & Support Management
